Laptop and desktop computer systems with a mouse and keyboard are the only computer systems that can run our products effectively
Tablet-style computers are popular for their compact size and portability, but currently they lack the recommended hardware performance, particularly graphics cards to run our products effectively. You may be able to install and run our software, but performance will likely be very slow and limited. Additionally, MatrixGold® is not designed to use a touchscreen interface and must use a mouse and keyboard

MatrixGold® is a very processor intensive program, so getting a fast processor is the best way to boost your performance. We do not recommend the i3 chipset for MatrixGold® as they are only entry-level dual-core processors in the “i-series” that are more intended for low-power mobile platforms. While you can find a suitable computer with an i5 chip, if you plan to do a lot of rendering, animation, or multitasking, the i7 would be a better option.

computer memory (RAM)

8 to 12 GB or (significantly) more...
MatrixGold® is a 64-bit application that can use as much memory as your computer has available.
Generally, 12GB is sufficient for most designers, but if you plan on using your computer for more than just MatrixGold®, more memory would be helpful.

this is by far the most important component for a "good" MatrixGold calculator
Recommended NVIDIA RTX series with 4GB VRAM (minimum 1 GB video VRAM)
Minimum: NVIDIA GTX series
We definitely recommend a UHD graphics card (4k)
Gemvision only recommends NVIDIA GeForce series graphics cards. Visit the NVIDIA website for detailed descriptions of the different models. If you have any questions, please contact our technical support
We do not recommend PCs with onboard graphics cards
A good "gaming graphics card" will also have good performance with MatrixGold
Always install the latest nVidia graphics driver
- In the Rhino command line, type the command " Notifications"
  Among other information, you will also be shown the availability of any new drivers for your graphics card, and you will be redirected directly to the download of the driver for your nVidia graphics card.

Absolute minimum resolution: 1440 x 900 pixels (not recommended...)
A 21-inch monitor is a comfortable size for most people, but if you're presenting to a customer who will be looking at the screen from a distance, a 24-inch or larger monitor may be more effective. Desktop and laptop monitors vary in appearance and display quality - it's best to visit a store so you can get a feel for the monitor before deciding on a size and resolution.

Minimum: 250 GB of free storage
The full MatrixGold® installation requires up to 10 GB of free space on your hard drive. As you start designing and gradually saving your work, it will quickly take up disk space, so the above disk sizes are recommended.

Due to incompatibility issues beyond our control, Gemvision does not recommend the following antivirus programs: Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, AVG, and Avast.
Choosing to run third-party antivirus software alongside Gemvision software may negatively impact functionality. Updates to anti-virus software or changes in virus definitions may prevent Gemvision software from launching.

Use MatrixGold on multiple computers

Multiple installation:

Your MatrixGold license is in the “cloud” and is accessed by logging in with your username and password

So you can install MatrixGold on as many computers as you want and use it there,
Of course, the same license cannot be accessed on different computers at the same time
